#12 Jack Conte

I discovered Jack Conte several weeks ago with his VideoSong combining Radiohead’s Exit Music for a Film with a prelude by Chopin, Op. 28 no. 4: …and speaking of covers

It wasn’t until last night, however, that I actually took the time to explore what else this guy has done. In a word, Jack Conte is… talented. Performing every instrument himself, as well as harmonizing with himself several times over.

He’s posted several “VideoSongs” on YouTube. According to Conte, a VideoSong is “a new medium with two rules:

1. What you see is what you hear (no lip-syncing for instruments or voice).

2. If you hear it, at some point you saw it (no hidden sounds).”

He’s also posted a couple of his own music videos and live performances.
